Biography:
Tebaber Chanie Workneh (PhD) is an assistant professor at Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia. He was born on 04 June, 1979 at DebreMarkos, Ethiopia. He has been a notable scholar and department head in the field of social anthropology at Bahir Dar University's faculty of social sciences. He earned MA in social anthropology in July 2006 and a PhD in Social Anthropology in February 2015 from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He also received a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa in October 2008. From April 3, 2017, until April 18, 2017, he was a visiting fellow at Brown University. In addition, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAPS) from August 2018 to February 2019. He also got funding from a 2019–2020 Civil Society award.
