
BDU conducts Successful National Graduate Admission Test Training

Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia – Bahir Dar University's College of Science and Humanity Faculty recently concluded a comprehensive training program to prepare students for the National Graduate Admission Test (GAT). The training, which took place both online and in-person, aimed to equip aspiring graduate students with the necessary skills to excel in the competitive examination.
Over 100 students participated in the two-day face-to-face training, while a significant number of online trainees engaged in the three-day LMS-based training. The program featured expert presentations from faculty members in mathematics and English, who shared sample GAT questions and provided detailed explanations.
"We are committed to supporting our students' academic aspirations and ensuring their success in the GAT," said Prof. Birhanu Assaye, Dean of the College of Science. "This training program was designed to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve their goals."
Dr. Waltenigus Mekonnen, Dean of the Humanity Faculty, emphasized the importance of effective preparation for the GAT. "The training program not only covered the academic aspects of the exam but also fostered a supportive learning environment," he noted.
The training was coordinated by Prof. Tsegaye Kassa and Dr. Ayenew Gwadu, Vice Deans for the respective academic units. Their dedication and leadership were instrumental in the program's success.
Technical support was provided by Mr. Zekarias from the Mathematics department, who assisted trainees in accessing the LMS-based GAT training package.
