Call for Papers
Invitation to the 4th Pan-African Science Education Research (PASER) Conference hosted by the University of Johannesburg-2025
PASER was formed in 2022 to provide an informal and fee-free forum for postgraduate students in AFRICA to share their research in SCIENCE EDUCATION. Since then, PASER has grown in stature and is now a significant conference for Masters’ and Doctoral students to meet and present their research. Students who have completed their MEds and PhDs or almost completed PhDs may submit their abstracts for presentation. Details of the conference and the process on submission of papers are outlined below.
Date: Friday, 18 July 2025 (9am-5pm) Venue: Virtually (LINK and final programme will be sent to interested participants) Fee: No fee
Students to submit a short paper with the following specifications in Science Education. The presentation includes a 15-minute online slot with 5 minutes of discussion.
Word count: 1 650 words (excluding Abstract, but including Reference list) The paper should be structured as follows: Title page: with your name(s) of the authors; affiliation institution; name of the supervisor; and email address.
- Abstract (100-150 words) and keywords
- Introduction
- Literature review/conceptual framework
- Theoretical framework
- Methodology
- Findings and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Technical requirements:
- 7th APA style of referencing; and
Font size 12 point; 1.5 line spacing.
