Background: Prior to joining Bahir Dar University, I served as an editor of broadcast news. In 2001, I wrote and published my first book entitled Bilihitu Alela and other short stories in Amharic. The book comprised of short stories targeting children of age 7- 15. My second book entitled Yegumuzua Chereka and other short stories, targeted adults, was published in2004. I have also established and served as a Deputy Editor- in- chief of Journalism and Communications departmental magazine named Cheers which focused on campus issues at Mekelle University from 2005-2006.Since 2007,I have been teaching Journalism and Communications courses for undergraduate students at Bahir Dar University. I worked as editor of the university’s Nile Newspaper from 2012-2014.I have also worked as editorial member of Tibeb Abay Magazine from 2011-2012 and as the university’s Media Relation coordinator from 2011-2014. Currently, I am working on the post of content development and management of the central website of Bahir Dar University.
