Background:
Dr. Bekele Birhanie Aregu has received Ph.D. in TEFL, MA in TEFL, B.ED in Pedagogical Sciences and English (Dual Major), Higher Diploma in Teacher Education, and Diploma in Andragogy. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor and a Licensed Professional Teacher Educator in Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He is also a Chair for Basic English and Research. In addition, he is a Professional Trainer, Researcher, Syllabus Designer, Material Developer and Advisor in the area of EFL Education and Research.

Current Teaching:
Dr. Bekele offers Research Methods, Language testing, Graduate seminar, and Syllabus Design and Material Writing courses to postgraduate students. He also provides professional guidance to postgraduate students. In addition, Dr. Bekele teaches advanced writing skills, spoken and written communication, basic writing skills, and others as situations demand to undergraduate students.
Research Interest:
Dr. Bekele’s research interest includes the psychology of learning, Self-regulated learning, language learning and teaching, innovations in language education, Language learning theories, approaches and strategies, technological aids for language learning, language testing, spoken and written communication, Non-formal and lifelong learning, and Material design, development and evaluation, Non-cognitive Variables and other correlates of foreign language skills development.
