Master of Arts degree Program in Public Management and Governance is to be launched in the University. The workshop was organized by College of Business and Economics at the University senate hall in April 30, 2006 E.C. for half day. The curriculum for this new program has been evaluated by invited Experts in the field from Addis Ababa. After detail evaluation of the document, questions were raised and constructive comments were forwarded from evaluators and participants.
According to the curriculum presenter Dr. Meselu Alemnie, The program is initiated in response to lack of skilled labor force and capacity gap in the public sector of the country. The objective of the program is to prepare highly qualified public management and governance professionals who may assume expert, leader, academician and researcher roles in government, not-for-profit and other public service oriented institutions as well as in higher education institutions. The program is consisting of new courses that are included to embrace recent developments in the field of public administration.
