Department of Geology, School of Earth Sciences, Bahir Dar University- Demonstrate lithostratigraphic of Blue Nile (Abay Basin) sedimentary basin in different sections through detailed field mapping and using strater software.
- Assessed the possible petroleum source rock potential of black shales, limestones and evaporites.
- Constrain the paleo-redox conditions of the Middle-Upper Jurassic black shales in the Blue Nile Basin, Ethiopia using redox-sensitive trace elements, major elements and other proxies.
- Assessed the vein gold deposit potential, reserve estimation and feasibility study at Yimali area, Western Ethiopian which is associated with medium grade metamorphic rocks and mafic plutonic rocks.
- Reconnaissance survey and first discovery on the copper and graphite deposits hosted in the intrusive rocks and high-grade metamorphic rocks of Moyale metamorphic belt, Southern Ethiopia.
- Mineral deposit potential area mapping and gold deposit potential assessment at Terakimti area, Northern Ethiopia.
- Conducting detailed geological and ore deposit potential mapping for the gold exploration project using the hand held/ portable field explorer XRF geochemical instrument at Inabar-Gumer area, Northwestern Ethiopia.
- Executing detailed field work and discover the native copper deposit for the first time at Bulen- Sabdahi area, Benishangul Gumuz regional state, Western Ethiopia.
