Summary of Fields of Specialization and Experiences
My name is Wubante Ayalew Dessie (PhD). I have been teaching asassistant professor in the department of Political Science and International Studies in Bahirdar University, Ethiopia. I do have PhD in Political Science from Punjabi University, India and masters of art in Gender and Development Studies from Bahirdar University, Ethiopia. I have also first degree in Civic and Ethical Studies from Arbaminch University, Ethiopia. Regarding work experiences, I have 13 years’ experience of research, community service and teaching different political science and development studies courses to undergraduate and master’s students in both regular and summer programs. In line with these, I have very good research experience and publications on politics, governance, gender and other related issues in Scopus and web of science indexed journals. I have Good ability to adapt multicultural environments as I grew up in multicultural communities. Good communication skills gained through my experience as a teacher, researcher, leader, advisor and fellow member and active participant in different social groupings. I am willing to discuss with my co-workers about organizational successes and failures and about finding out mechanisms and strategies that are helpful for success in work. I am interested to enjoy general and intellectual discussions with different kinds of persons. Furthermore, I have an experience of journal review and edition in different international journals.
