Professor Hans Mattson, a Professor of Land Administration at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, has been a truly dedicated scientist who created a strong Land Administration Network among 12 Universities in East African Countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania which has been serving as bench mark for other University networks in the continent.
Professor Hans is a pioneer in the creation of the Institute of Land Administration, BDU – one of the few Centers of Excellence Bahir Dar University proudly counts today! He has made the institute such a great center by developing curriculums for first, second and PhD degrees. He has also supported the Institute and the region by opening up scholarship opportunities both for the teachers in the institute and experts in Amhara region making the impact of the field hugely felt in the area.
The Institute of Land Administration at Bahir Dar University whose current recognition in Ethiopia and East Africa is proudly attributed to Professor Hans is now a Practice Site for students converging from other Ethiopian Universities.
