BDU Farewells MoHESR Graduates
The President of Bahir Dar University, Dr Firew Tegegne, has made his closing remark on an evening farewell occasion for the graduates MoHESR project at Bahir Dar University.
The president has indicated that the bilateral academic partnership between Bahir Dar University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan has grown to an institutional level leading to the graduation of 21 MA students in Educational Planning and Management.
The president named the graduates Ambassadors of Bahir Dar University and Ethiopia at large. Wishing his best for the graduates, he expressed his utmost conviction that the partnership between the two institutions will be consolidated and moved on to the next level.
Appreciating all stakeholders from both parties for the joint achievement, Dr Firew Tegegne extended his special gratitude to the African Development bank for the support and supervision rendered.
The president has promised to make sure that the job started will continue with a strong resolve. He has also expressed his aspirations of building new horizons of partnership in the future. Also on the occasion, Dr Firew Tegegne revealed the launching of an e-Learning program at the MA level in Khartoum. To its effectiveness, the president said preparatory works have already been done, and the program is commencing in the very near future.
The representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan has expressed his pleasure and best wishes to the graduates. He has promised, on his part, to keep commitments and strengthen the joint academic venture.
The Director of External Relations and Partnership of Bahir Dar University and the Coordinator of the MoHESR Project, Mr Moges Abraha, expressed his best wishes to the graduates. Mr Moges forwarded his thanks to Dr Firew Tegegne and all stakeholders of the project in Bahir Dar University. He has also expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan, and stakeholders as well as the participants of the project at Bahir Dar University for the successful accomplishment of the project.
Mr Moges Abraha, wishing his best to the graduates, has articulated his strong conviction on an ever growing continuation of the academic partnership between the two institutions.
The present joint effort, according to Mr Moges Abraha, is an exemplary showpiece of a growing number of international students at Bahir Dar University. He asserted the partnership to be strengthened and continue for the years to come.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan has recognized Dr Firew Tegegne and Mr Moges Abraha for their enormous contributions to the success of the project.
Bahir Dar University, for its part, has also recognized the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan and other stakeholders who had great contributions for the success of the project.
The delegates of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Sudan together with the project management team of Bahir Dar University and the representative of African Development Bank have discussed on issues of supervision and monitoring of the project. In the discussion, the challenges and future directions of the project have been drawn, and the path as to the successful progress of the project has been set out.
Attendees of the occasion include the university management team, honored guests of the two institutions and graduating students. It has been indicated on the occasion that more than 300 international students are presently studying at Bahir Dar University.
