Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology (EiTEX) Conducted the 8th  International Conference on Cotton, Textile and Apparel Value Chain in Africa (CTA - 2019) from June 7-8, 2019. During this conference there was also an exhibition that shows different products which were done by Selam Campus students. Different schools of grade 8 students visited Bahir Dar University STEM center over the weekend for the last five weeks and they did laboratory training including Chemistry, Biology and Physics during their visit. They were inspired by their visit especially by our STEM center Robotics Lab Room.

The Bahir Dar University STEM Center started its 4th STEM-Girls camp program which is running from February 3 to 10, 2019. The training was officials opened by Dr Zewdu Emiru, the Vice President for Information and Strategic Communication of the University. Bahir Dar University STEM Incubation Center provided an indoor and outdoor training on GIS, Remote sensing and Surveying for 56 STEM center students from grade 11 and grade 12 students on December 08/2018. Bahir Dar University STEM Incubation Center participated at the “Third National Science Fair Competition and Exhibition” held at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MoIT) campus organized by Ministry of Education (MoE), STEM Synergy and UNESCO, from November 05 – 10/2018. The BDU STEM team was led by two leaders and 5 project teams with a total of 11 students from grade 10 – 12 participated.

The Bahir Dar University STEM Center organized its 3rd STEM-Girls camp program from January 15 to 22, 2018.
