In 1996/1997, the Graduate School at Bahir Dar University began admitting 35 students in six different graduate programs. The programs include: Amharic, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Educational Curriculum and Psychology. The school is carrying out unprecedented expansion. Currently, the School of Graduate Studies is running 23 regular programs as well as Summer and Distance courses:
