Academic Status determination

 

A student who scores a SGPA of:

A. Less than 1.5 will be dismissed .

B. Between 1.5 and 1.74 will be Warned.

C. 1.75 and above will be promoted.

A student who scores a CGPA of :

             A. Less than 1.75 will be dismissed.

              B. Between 1.75 and 1.99 will be warned.

              C. 2.00  and above will be promoted.

In determining academic status use both SGPA and CGPA, which means

             A. A student whose GPA is on dismissal either by SGPA or CGPA or both SGPA and

                    CGPA, he/she will be dismissed.

              B. A student whose GPA is on warning Either by SGPA or CGPA or both SGPA and

                  CGPA he/she will be warned.

A student who has been warned in his/her previous semester will be promoted if and only if he/she achieves a CGPA of 2.00 and above.

A student who has been promoted in his/her previous semester ,

              A. will be promoted if she/he achieves a SGPA of 1.75 and more and CGPA of 2.00 or

                    more.

              B. Warned if and only if he/she achieves a SGPA between 1.5 and 1.74(both

                       inclusively) and a CGPA between 1.75 and 1.99 (both inclusively)

             C. Dismissed if he/she fails to achieve a SGPA of less than 1.5 and a CGPA of less

                       than 1.75.
