Dean's Message

Welcome to Science College of Bahir Dar University, and thank you for visiting our webpage.

The College of Science as one of the largest colleges of Bahir Dar University offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in the different science disciplines. The undergraduate programs are responsible for promoting the mission of the university through the programs of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science (Geology), Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. The College has also masters degree programs in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Material Sciences, and both masters and PhD programs in physics. Each program within the college has significant areas of strength and expertise in both teaching and research. Thus, our programs prepare students for careers as scientific and research professionals and for careers as teachers of science and mathematics. Currently, we have a good number of faculty members and supportive staff that truly care for the success of students and participate in different ways to assist students’ growth and achievement.
