Volunteer Association carry out various activities
BDU: Bahir Dar University Volunteer Society Development Association has undertaken various developmental activities in the past one year.
According to the chairperson of the Association, Asimamaw Degarege, the association gave support to visually impaired students within BDU, and organized tutorial program to undergraduate students who belonged to various departments/programs of the university.
Beyond BDU campus, Asimamaw pointed out that his association handed over 1008 outfits and shoes to aged people of Bahir Dar City, organized tutorials to students of Tana Haik,Fasilo and Bahir Dar Preparatory.
He further claimed that they took part in an awareness creation campaign on podoconosis and provided treatment to 70 patients of seven rural villages of Achefer district.
Asimamaw thanked Bahir Dar University Research and Community Services Vice President’s office, Gamby Private Limited Company and the Bahir Dar City Administration.
