Associations emulate best practices
BDU:Bahir Dar University Integrated Seed Sector Development Project recently held an experience sharing program at Avola Goshiye Village.
The objective of the program was to help seed multiplication and marketing associations to learn best practices and exchange new ideas on how to organize and strengthen their association and seed production and marketing strategies.
In the experience sharing program, Avola Goshiye village had been selected as a model in producing improved seeds. Other associations were also invited to the best village in seed multiplication and production so that they could learn best lessons and share their experience.
Speaking at the function, BDU’s Vice President for Research and Community Services Dr.Tesfaye Shiferaw asserted that the University would continue to support the existing association and would also support the installation of other associations to minimize the shortage of seeds and improve its quality at Amhara National Regional State.
