BDU DRILLS AMHARA WOMEN WRITERS ASSOCIATION MEMBERS
BDU: Bahir Dar University conducted training for Ethiopian Women Writers Association Amhara Chapter Members to upgrade their Skill and Knowledge.
The Chapter Acting Chairperson Ms. Ethiopia Belay explained that the objective of the training was to build capacity of Writers, open an avenue for young writer to learn from veteran Writers and Scholars who stamped their authority in the profession.
Amhara National Regional State Culture, Tourism and Parks Development Bureau Deputy Head, Birhanu Gebrie pointed out that the region had been the breeding ground for literary work figures of the nation such as Dr. Hadis Alemayehu(Honorary) stressing that young writers needed to follow the footsteps of Dr. Hadis to produce very good literary works.
BDU’s Ethiopian Language and Literature (Amharic) Program, Senior Lecturer and PhD Scholar Anteneh Awoke,Senior Assistant Professor Teshome Yimer, Hirut Adimasu and Assistant Professor Aster Minwyelet presented papers to trainees.
