COLLEGE AWARDS BEST RESEARCHERS
BDU: The College of Business and Economics in Bahir Dar University presented certificates to the researchers with the consummate research projects in their respective Masters Degree Thesis.
Commending the recipients during the award ceremony, BDU’s Vice President for Research and Community Services, Dr.Tesfaye Shiferaw, noted that the event was a step towards making BDU one of top ten premier Research Universities of Africa in 2025.
He disclosed that the University is planning to award best researchers in June with the view to enhancing research culture and to maximize the engagement of academic staff and students in research and Community support programs.
He applauded the move as exemplary stressing those other Colleges, Faculties, Schools, Institutes and newly set up research teams could learn best practices from the College.
The Coordinator of Postgraduate Programs, Research and Community Services Letenah Ejigu, explained that since the commencement of postgraduate programs in 2009 in the college, the issue of quality research output was a priority and that the function was an extension of what the college had been doing as it was inspiration to prospective students in instilling research culture.
