The Faculty of Social Sciences, on October 16/2020, has carried out an all staff wide meeting to discuss the 2013 plan of the Faculty and the launching of the academic year. The event,held at the Auditorium hall with the attendance of all the staff of the Faculty, started with the opening remarks by the Dean of the faculty followed by a presentation of the academic and research and community services plans. These were subsequently followed by extended discussions and questions and answer sessions. The unique context of the 2013 academic year which will be carried out in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic has been emphasized and there were repeated call for everyone to join effort to curb the spread of the disease and successfullycomplete the academic year.
Feedbacks which would be used as inputs for the plan and ground work in preparation for the academic year were also raised and discussed. The discussion has paved way for the Faculty leadership and work force to be in a better position for the implementation of the plan of the Faculty andcompletion of the academic year successfully.
