Background

Since leaving college (my first degree study) in 1998, I have been working as a Foreign News Monitor (Translator) at a regional media, have been teaching English language (both Major Area and for Specific Purposes) at the university and outside. I am now the Executive Director for Quality Assurance and Enhancement Center of Bahir Dar University and also a Managing Editor for the Ethiopian Journal of Science and Technology (EJST), one of the journals of Bahir Dar University.

Research Supervision Interests

I am interested in supervising graduate research works on gender as related to language teaching and learning including those aspects of gender representations in teaching materials. I am also interested in supervising research works on teacher professional development, such English language education related issues as learning and teaching the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) as well as vocabulary and grammar. In particular, I would be interested in supervising projects on research culture.
