Background: I was born in Dessie in 1960. I Joined elementary school in 1968 and completed my secondary school in 1978 in the same place. I joined Addis Ababa University for my first degree and graduated in 1982 majoring English. I have taught English in different secondary schools for ten years (1983 – 1992) at different places. I have got my second degree in TEFL from Addis Ababa University in 1992. Since 1993, I have been working in Bahir Dar University. In 2008 I wrote a teaching material and promoted to the rank of assistant professor. I have a special interest in developing teaching materials and giving short term training on teaching methodology.

    strategies, Process writing, Testing, Communicative language teaching.
