Joined Bahir Dar University, Faculty of Humanities in 1997 E.C. Mrs. Solomie is an academic staff member of Ethiopian Languages and Literature, Amharic department. She did her Bachelor of Education in Amharic Language and Master of Education in Teaching Amharic at Bahir Dar University.
She taught courses including Basic Writing Skills; Advanced Amharic Writing Skills; Technical Writing; Workshop in Text Editing; Writing for Media; Amharic Critical Reading and Text analysis; Reading; Oral Communication Skills, and Novel.
She has an interest in the research area of Language teaching and learning. She has another area of expertise writing at which she excels
