  Joined Bahir Dar University, Faculty of Humanities in 1998 E.C. Lemma is teaching in the department of English Language and Literature. He received Bachelor of Education in English from Bahir Dar University, and did his Master’s degree in Linguistics in the Stream of Sociolinguistics at Addis Ababa University. He also has a Certificate on Teaching at Higher Education Institutions, Higher Diploma Program (HDP) from Bahir Dar University.

 Lemma has taught several course including Sociolinguistics; Theories of Communication; Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis; Semantics; English Phonetics and Phonology; English Morphology and Syntax; Introduction to Language and Linguistics; Spoken and Written Communication; and Basic Writing Skills.

 He has a higher interest in research areas of Language, Linguistics, Conversational Analysis, Discourse Analysis, Communication, Health Communication; Culture, and Language Teaching. The publications Lemma has include The Semiotics of HIV/AIDS and their Communication Implications: Bahir Dar and Gondar Towns in Focus, and Analysis of Communication Approaches and Strategies of Bahir Dar University Ant-HIV/AIDS Movements.

 Other areas of expertise Lemma excels at include team work, coordination and cooperation, working with anyone, and communicating with people of diverse background.
