Description of the Program: |
The general objectives of the program are to help the nations and nationalities of Ethiopia to conserve their unique socio-cultural resources for policy making and also to assist the on-going endeavors that utilize inter-generational traditions, indigenous knowledge transmitted across ages, commonly shared values, historical experiences as well as unique traits of multi-ethnic Ethiopia in the process of carving out development policies and programs. The program also aims to produce competent students who will contribute for the development of research in Folklore area, in the areas of culture, folk literature, society and development; and in other interdisciplinary fields; |

Eligibility criteria: |
Admission to the program would require:
a) As per the regulation of ministry of Education and Bahir Dar University.
b) successful completion of the preparatory program;
c) a satisfactory result in the higher education entrance examination;
d) a CGPA of 2.00 and above in the diploma program for advanced standing students from any recognized institution; and
e) Satisfying the general admission requirements of the university. |
