BDU celebrates Ethio-Sudan Higher Education cooperation day

The fourth edition of Ethio-Sudan Higher Education Cooperation day has been celebrated from 06-08  May, 2018 at BDU.

The day has been aiming at magnifying the historical and current diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and the Sudan, and people to people relationship of the two countries. President of BDU, Dr. Firew Tegegne, in his opening remark to the conferencenoted thatthe relationship between Ethiopia and Sudan is multifaceted. The trade, culture, security and boundaries we share unite us stronger and tighter. Most importantly, the great river NILE has been an enduring mark of our togetherness, he added. He further outlined the significance of the day in strengthening the ties between our two countries, and BDU’s commitment toward the achievement of this partnership.

It has been underscored from the Sudanese delegation that celebrating Sudan Day will enable the participant universities to enhance their collaboration and also discuss on future possibilities.

As part of the celebration of the cooperation day,an academic discussion and presentation was held by researches and academicians. It has been also complemented by a football game between BDU and Emirates College of Science and Technology, and by other cultural festivities.
