Cooperations

The Economics program in the College of Business and Economics has established a strong link with other organizations which are of notably important to scale up the profile of the department. Foremost is the Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA). The Program is a home for EEA, Bahir Dar chapter. In collaboration with the EEA and the Amhara Region Planning and Economic Development Bureau, department of Economics has successfully undertaken three annual conferences on the Amhara Region Economic Development. The program has also established academic and research collaboration with Courant research center of the Gottingen University.

The College of Business and Economics also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two bureaus of ANRS. These include Trade and Transport Bureau and Micro & Small Enterprises Development Agency. The college agrees to work collaboratively in short and long term training, joint research projects, knowledge and information dissemination through conferences, workshops, policy dialogue forums and establishment of academic journals. Besides, both parties agreed on the joint delivery of community service. Currently, we are on the verge to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amhara National Regional State Bureau of Revenue and Custom Authority.

Besides, all the programs of the college (Accounting and Finance, Management, Marketing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Economics and Tourism and Hotel Management) are underway to develop bilateral working relationship with their own direct stakeholder by signing MoU.
