Good Governance and Rule of Law for Conflict Resolution and Sustainable Development

Bahir Dar University School of Law is pleased to invite you to submit your contributions for the national conference to be held in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, on the theme of “Good Governance and Rule of Law for Conflict Resolution and Sustainable Development.”
SUB-THEMES
Specific issues that fall within the purview of the workshop include:
· Transitional Justice (Truth Commission, Reparations, Prosecution)
· Law and order under current Ethiopian ethnic federalism
· CSOs and Other International Actors (International Community, Media) in Conflict Situation and post-conflict reconstruction
· Good Governance, Rule of Law, and Accountability
· Political Economy in Conflict Situations
· Conflict, Peace Building and Post-Conflict Reconstruction
· Urban governance and Development
· Sustainable Development

· Abstract Submission: 16May 2022

Authors are invited to submit abstract of their paper (in not more than 500 words) and their updated CV to the Organizing Committees members (temesgen.sisay@yahoo.comand deg.geb@gmail.com) and copy to (mamenie82@gmail.com).
Abstracts shall be accompanied with full details of the authors (name, affiliations, email, phone, etc.)
N.B. New works are encouraged but published works are also welcome so long as they fit the theme of the workshop. The full paper should not exceed 8000 words.

The Law Democratization and Media (LA-DEM-MED), website (https://la-dem-med.et/), is live currently and we are happy to invite you to submit commentaries, concise scholarly analyses, expert opinions and brief academic articles on issues pertaining to Rule of Law, Democratization and Media in Contemporary Ethiopia.
Submissions should be well written, analytical and original addressing the very challenges of Rule of Law, democratization and media practice in Ethiopia.

The main text, like the author names used Times New Roman font, 14 point for the Author names and 12 point for the remainder of the abstract. Type or paste your text into this file, but remember to keep the page margins the same as is set here which is 2.5 cm all round. Paragraphs are justified (straight-edged) on both left and right.
Use single-line spacing and leave a line gap between paragraphs. This helps your text to be read easily. If you would like to insert a figure you can do so. Use the insert picture command and paste special as an enhanced metafile for ease of handling. Do remember to include a figure caption.
The limit for your abstract is one page. Abstracts that do not meet these formatting requirements will be returned. The organizing committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for clarity or correctness of English, but will consult the author if any significant changes are needed.
